So, I thought it would be appropriate to re-visit and compare some of my written Posts from 12 months ago and see just how far I have come in such a short, yet often difficult year, as well as share some of the exciting times I have experienced with my writing...
At the time, I had written that: "...I'd had my manuscript critiqued and that with a bit more fine tuning / tweaking with a few more "colourful" elements added throughout, my memoir manuscript would virtually be ready for publication".
"Since then, I had slowly been working through my manuscript yet again - adding in the various adjustments. However, I had also come across some minor overlooked errors while also adding in the occasional word and / or sentences". "It pays to be diligent, obviously," I added.
"I feel that by the time I have once again gone through the entire manuscript for the umpteenth time - my memoir manuscript will eventually be "more than ready" to be seen by an Editor." - Posted on my Author Page - 30 June 2014
Three months later I began to receive several Testimonials, which had been posted on my author page and which I would like to share the first of one such lovely testimonial below, exactly as it was written by another fellow writer. I quote:
"Heather, I know much of your heart and soul is in your work. The pain, the sacrifice, fear and doubt that you have overcome in raising your son. I've only read a little of your book but it's written with the fearless intensity of a loving mum. The positive ripple of your book for parents and friends of someone with autism will be priceless." she wrote. "So many people have no idea what life can hand you," she continued. "So many people feel alone and unseen with their pain."
"The one thing everyone needs in life is to feel validated. Your book will be a testament for those who have shared a similar experience - it speaks of love, understanding and acceptance. On behalf of all your future readers, thank you xox Melissa Walsh - dated 13 September 2014
Therefore, I would sincerely like to thank Melissa for allowing me to re-transcribe her lovely worded and personal Testimonial Post in my Writing Blog. It is very much appreciated, thank you.
It is quite amazing to see just how far I have come with my writing over the years, let alone in just the past twelve months!
Happy Writing everyone
